Speakers Bureau

As part of its mission to prepare a new generation of Americans to better understand the complexities and opportunities presented by a New Europe, CES sponsors a Speakers Bureau for the classroom and community. Many of the university scholars affiliated with CES are eager to share their knowledge and experience with schools, libraries, and community groups around Wisconsin. CES speakers give talks on a broad range of European issues, including:

  • Global security in the age of the EU
  • Media and Democracy in the new European economy
  • European rights: citizenship, languages, migrants, women
  • The EU Mediterranean and European Islam

If you would like to invite a CES speaker to your group, we ask that you allow at least 6-8 weeks for planning and scheduling.

For more information on this program, or to volunteer as a speaker, please contact the Outreach Coordinator, or call the Center for European Studies (265-4766).
